I am not quiet sure if its my fault for not being familar with Beckii Cruel’s “work” or the internet for not bringing it to my attention sooner.
Beckii Cruel apparently started her career mimicking jpop idols singing and dancing by staring in her own videos on youtube. A couple thousand fans and two band members later she found herself on Japanese televisions all across the country. Below are some fruits of that labor.
That of course is one of their music videos filmed in Japan since the trio has hit the big times. Now don’t get me wrong, this whole foreigner as a Japanese pop idol is definitely an interesting idea, but with work like the video above it seems kind of wasted. None of the girls in the video seem to be at all interested in what is going on around them. Here is another sample from the girls time in japan.
This is a fun video to watch, not because of the music, but because of the looks that passersby give Beckii and her camera crew as they waltz around Japan. The music, words, and rhythm on the other hand have made my ears bleed.
This video below on the other hand could make up for all of the pain and depression from the previous videos just by being so great.

Hmm, I guess I’m a horrible person because I had seen her videos and knew who she was before she became “japan” famous. >_<
At least shes not maggibon. All maggi-chan can do is look ridiculously cute. This girl can dance and sing.
