My name is J.R. Penilla and I am an American currently living in Japan. I lived in Tokyo as a college student, but at the moment I live in a much smaller city over on the West coast.

I knew from the moment I saw my first Atari, that I would love video games forever. When I studied abroad in Tokyo, while my friends were always on the look out for the best bars, I was keeping my eye out for best game centers.

This site exists simply to talk about game life and culture here in Japan. If you’re interested in Otaku life, or just Japan in general, this site is probably for you.
